Curing Warts With Lemon Juice
Warts are unsightly tumors that grow on the skin normal seen on fingers and hands but can potentially affect any area of skin and sometimes actually found inside the mouth but increasingly on the genitals. Common warts on the skin may be passed to another person when that person touches the warts but it is also possible to get warts from using towels or other objects that were used by a person who has warts.
Even though genital warts are like most other warts, do not cause any pain (except warts on the areas of the foot where you apply pressure when walking) but are nonetheless highly contagious and can be contracted during any type of sexual act. Women can actually have warts on the inside of the vaginal walls and not know they have the growths.
Broken areas of skin are more susceptible to warts as the virus has easy access and they can spread when picked at by children although they do not generally cause any problems other than how they appear to others so it isn’t always necessary to get rid of them. A common reason for eradicating warts is to stop further spread but even when this is achieved, they can return at any time and for some people they can become a persistent nuisance. A doctor can also freeze warts and verrucas away with liquid nitrogen but often several freezing treatments will be necessary before the warts are totally removed.

Common warts are a type of infection caused by viruses in the human papillomavirus family but there are many different types. There are in fact in excess of one hundred different types of warts in the human papillomavirus family; each is specific to an area or the body.
Some people are more naturally resistant to the human papillomavirus viruses and don’t seem to get warts as easily as other people but for those who are more susceptible, even biting your nails can also cause warts to spread on your fingertips and around your nails. The surface of the common wart has the appearance of a cauliflower and often contains tiny black dots which are in fact blood vessels that have clotted and are most often seen near the tips of fingers, sometimes in a group.
Another type of wart is the flat wart that just rises above the surface of the skin and is ‘flat’; these tend to appear more on areas of the face, arms or legs and will sometimes be seen in very large groups. Often discovered in the urethra, vagina and anus, ano-genital warts are highly contagious; they have a preference for the damp areas and can also appear skin colored but not always plus they are not always the same shape.
Although it is quite common for warts to just disappear months or years after they were discovered, some are more persistent and have to be treated with either treatments available at drugstores or by a doctor. The most common topical treatment for warts and verrucas is salicylic acid an various forms, which is available in most drugstores and whilst it is effective, it does require strict adherence to the cleaning regime.
