Gential Herpes Warts

Warts are unsightly tumors that grow on the skin normal seen on fingers and hands but can potentially affect any area of skin and sometimes actually found inside the mouth but increasingly on the genitals. The common wart which is more than likely those found on someone’s fingers or hands are still contagious if they are touched but it is not uncommon for someone to contract warts from using the towel of someone who has the condition.

Warts situated on the soles of the feet do cause discomfort but generally they are painless even warts on the genitalia which are caught from another person who has them and becomes a carrier through sex. A person will not generally become vulnerable to warts until after the age of three and after this they can grow almost anywhere and in women even inside the vagina which often aren’t detected until they have an examination.

Warts generally appear after a person has cut or grazed themselves and can spread from there but other than being unsightly, they do not normally cause any harm although that does not mean it isn’t beneficial to have them removed on occasion. Stopping warts from spreading is generally the best reason to have them removed especially with children who are more likely to pick at them. Whilst it is quite normal to buy ointments for example over the counter, the doctor can actually freeze warts with liquid nitrogen but this remedy does require more than one treatment.

Gential Herpes Warts...

To most people one wart is pretty much the same as another but there are many forms of the human papillomavirus which causes the wart. In fact over one hundred types exist, known as human papillomavirus; some have very specific areas of attack including those that form on the genitals or anus.

The most frequently seen wart is that on the ends of fingers, often the result of a person biting their nails which can leave the skin tender but not everyone has the same problems with warts but why some people are more prone to getting them than others remains a mystery. Those small cauliflower-like papules seen on people’s fingers, especially around the cuticle area are the common wart and these usually appear to have small dark specks in them which are blood vessels.

Another type of wart is the flat wart that just rises above the surface of the skin and is ‘flat’; these tend to appear more on areas of the face, arms or legs and will sometimes be seen in very large groups. Warts found in the ano-genital area can also be flesh colored, also gray but these might be shiny and have the cauliflower appearance as well; they like damp areas and this is why they can be found inside the vagina and even the urethra.

Some warts may last many years and then just vanish whilst others will require intervention from a topical ointment or by the doctor. Treatments available to remove warts and verrucas are generally easily obtained from a drugstore and contain salicylic acid which is very good but the cleaning regime during the treatment is very specific and must be followed.
