Me3dical History Of Planter Warts

A wart is generally a small, rough tumor, typically on hands and feet, that can resemble a cauliflower or a solid blister; they can grow on all parts of your body including on your skin, on the inside of your mouth, on your genitals and on your rectal area. Contact with the skin of someone who has warts may be enough to catch them if you are more susceptible to warts but they can still be passed on through the contact of a towel of someone who is suffering with warts.

Even though genital warts are like most other warts, do not cause any pain (except warts on the areas of the foot where you apply pressure when walking) but are nonetheless highly contagious and can be contracted during any type of sexual act. Warts are rarely seen on children under the age of three, but after this age they become more frequent and in women, warts can grow on the cervix (inside the vagina), and a woman may not know she has them.

Warts generally appear after a person has cut or grazed themselves and can spread from there but other than being unsightly, they do not normally cause any harm although that does not mean it isn’t beneficial to have them removed on occasion. Treatment of warts is generally carried out owing to the adverse cosmetic affect they have but it isn’t a bad idea if they become a persistent problem. The favorite method of getting rid of warts by doctors is with liquid nitrogen which is extremely cold but even this usually takes more than one application.

Me3dical History Of Planter Warts...

The human papillomavirus family of viruses which cause warts is actually quite large despite most people perception that all warts are fairly similar. The 100 hundred different type of wart in the human papillomavirus group are quite focused in the areas they attack including those that are found in the genitalia.

The most frequently seen wart is that on the ends of fingers, often the result of a person biting their nails which can leave the skin tender but not everyone has the same problems with warts but why some people are more prone to getting them than others remains a mystery. The surface of the common wart has the appearance of a cauliflower and often contains tiny black dots which are in fact blood vessels that have clotted and are most often seen near the tips of fingers, sometimes in a group.

Flat warts are small, slightly elevated, flat-topped, pink or tan papules and are smoother than the common wart but they occur primarily on the face, arms, and legs, and a person can have several, even hundreds of them. Often discovered in the urethra, vagina and anus, ano-genital warts are highly contagious; they have a preference for the damp areas and can also appear skin colored but not always plus they are not always the same shape.

It is quite common for warts to disappear on their own although it cab take years for this to happen or as short as a few months, but some warts are stubborn and require additional treatment. The most common topical treatment for warts and verrucas is salicylic acid an various forms, which is available in most drugstores and whilst it is effective, it does require strict adherence to the cleaning regime.
