Storm Wiggle Warts
The problem with warts (a tiny rough unsightly tumor) is they can grow almost anywhere on the body including inside the mouth and genitals but are most usually seen on the hands and feet. The common wart which is more than likely those found on someone’s fingers or hands are still contagious if they are touched but it is not uncommon for someone to contract warts from using the towel of someone who has the condition.
With the exception of warts that are found on the soles of the feet, warts are usually quite painless but genital warts are highly contagious; caught during acts of sex, even oral. A person will not generally become vulnerable to warts until after the age of three and after this they can grow almost anywhere and in women even inside the vagina which often aren’t detected until they have an examination.
Warts generally appear after a person has cut or grazed themselves and can spread from there but other than being unsightly, they do not normally cause any harm although that does not mean it isn’t beneficial to have them removed on occasion. One reason to treat warts is to prevent them from spreading further, but common warts may recur after treatment, and they may be a persistent problem. Whilst it is quite normal to buy ointments for example over the counter, the doctor can actually freeze warts with liquid nitrogen but this remedy does require more than one treatment.
Storm Wiggle Warts...
Most people are aware of the common wart but many different strains exist. The common wart is just one of over one hundred which are known each with very specific target areas especially those highly contagious forms found around the male and female sex organs and the anus.
The most frequently seen wart is that on the ends of fingers, often the result of a person biting their nails which can leave the skin tender but not everyone has the same problems with warts but why some people are more prone to getting them than others remains a mystery. This is the area the common wart is most frequently found, around the cuticles at the finger tips and recognized by the cauliflower like appearance of the tumor which sometimes grow in groups; the small black dots that are in the center are actually blood vessels.
The warts sometimes seen on the face, legs and arms are the flat warts which are much smaller that their common wart cousins; they are also smoother and skin colored but they can often be found in groups which may contain many, even a 100 or more. Warts that affect the genitals and anus vary in size and shape, some looking like large common warts to others that are small and shiny; they can even be found inside the urethra, vagina and anus.
It is quite common for warts to disappear on their own although it cab take years for this to happen or as short as a few months, but some warts are stubborn and require additional treatment. The most common type of treatment involves salicylic acid which is readily available at drugstores and supermarkets but remember that removing a wart with salicylic acid requires a strict regimen of cleaning the area, applying the acid, and removing the dead skin with a pumice stone or emery board.
